Wilhelmina "Mina" Martens Schifferdecker was a German immigrant and a member of one of Murphysburg's most visible philanthropic families. She and Charles Schifferdecker married in 1877, later making their home at 422 South Sergeant Avenue in the Murphysburg Historic District.
